We gave dd and a friend a fresh lei for high school graduation. Not sure what part of the country you’ll be in, but they may be prohibitively expensive.
My sister lives on the west coast and that was the first I had heard of grads wearing leis. They are gorgeous!
Where we are I don’t think anyone has heard of them and have never seen any at the florist. High school graduation in the Midwest had most girls getting flowers.
Since we have to pack up and move out of the dorm in the two days after graduation I think I will forgo flowers that will just get tossed as I am concerned about fitting everything in the car for the drive home as it is…

We bought a lei for my daughter from a local florist (Southern California), but was surprised that they were selling flowers and lei’s at graduation. My son’s girlfriend made him a lei out of money that he wore.
They sold leis at our DDs graduation too. I have to look back t the pictures to see if we bought one!
I like Maile leis for graduation. Hawaiian tropical flowers has always come through:) We are in So CA and I feel their prices for leis and flowers reasonable. Our local Ralphs sells orchid leis at graduation time
Here leis are very popular. The purple looks almost like the Husky purple. Close enough.
