Whatever. This was a useless post because I am now seen as a brat.

Let me make my points and listen:
- I had not a clue about the finer points of college admissions at the time of first contact. I however did know a little about the academies. I knew of the basic requirements but I did not know the timetable. That is why, when my counselor used such a sense of urgency, I was confused but thought that she knew better since it is her JOB.
2)I have since then educated myself through this site, but this site does not give everything. I need to be able to talk about college with someone KNOWLEDGABLE, I need some help in my process. From past expierences with my GC, she first of all is ditzy, and second of all, likes to agree with everything I say. She listens but gives me no input. - I indeed had prior visits to my counselor. Mostly for schedule fixes (Junior year) and to deal withmy parents divorce. (Sophomore year). Furthermore, I have made several other attempted visits. And I say attempted because she is never in her office.
- My school has 5 counselors and only 1200 students. They students up by last names.
- Ok the title is a little dramatic. It should be changed to, Can I change Counselors, mine is not too helpful. And once again, it is her job to aide me. That may sound pompous but that is why she was hired to aide the student body. Her ineptness has been more than just the West Point fiasco, I want someone that I can talk to and trust, not just somoene that will nod their head to whatever I say.
- Finally, since when was this post about my character? The only helpful posts I have received are from dufus, psychicpies, and courtney.

7) citygirl, I am taking my SATs in March, I have been studying for the past month and a half. My schedule contains three APs, one honor class, Latin II, German IV, and two additional regular electives. Since my rendevous with the GC, I have educated myself more thoroughly on the topic of college. I just need help in deciding the finer points, something that I am more comfortable doing verbally. Which implies the importance of having someone I can trust and respect.
