For those who were accepted, what was your idea/project that you applied with?
For those who were accepted, are you referencing the fellowship or the grant?
Someone said something about acceptance letters being sent over a span of three days, I don’t think that is correct. From what I understand they were all sent out yesterday. I get what you are saying about waiting to send rejection letters out but it is just not right. If the girls selected can’t do it then they shouldn’t of applied. I feel like the applicants have been strung along through this entire process. We were told results early May, May 20th is not early May. Then they wait to tell us we are rejected, come on. I read in a couple past years’ threads that if you live in a small area you have no chance, I was hoping it wasn’t true but maybe it is. Lesson learned.
Ummm first off! we should all be grateful that we even got this opportunity and that it exists. Second circumstances change. It’s like college admissions, people apply to schools that they are interested in and where they think they can get in. Peoples situations change and HERlead can’t really expect everyone who they accept to 100% be positive of going, this isn’t Early Decision. I get what your saying about the result date but that honestly doesn’t matter. Honestly based on how your reaction is to this maybe it’s better that you didn’t get this thing.

Did you get accepted Amber? Is that why you are so defensive? The great thing about a forum is that we ALL are entitled to our own opinions, and I stated mine. I have applied over the last year to multiple programs and whether accepted or not the process was not as disorganized as this was. People announcing they were accepted while others just sit and wait for the rejection letter? Never seen a program ran like this, my opinion.
Nothing today @isabelagaleano, I am sure rejection letters will be out soon.
@aimtothetop that’s how decisions for lots of things go, as far as I’ve seen you’re literally the only person that is so frustrated about this and no I was not accepted. i knew going into this how the process went and that based on the number of app they get its less than a 2% chance to get in
amber777 go to Twitter and type in #herlead and then review the results. I may be the only one in this forum stating I am frustrated, but check out Social Media. I am not sure what other program’s you have applied for, but for me I have not seen this before with my experiences’. After my own experience I am curious if the demographics do play a part, which was never stated in the entire application project. As I stated before, lesson learned.

Does anybody know if acceptances are being sent out over more than 1 day? Or did they only go out yesterday?
I did see that tweet where someone said that acceptances spanned over three days last year but I’m not sure if that’s true or not.

I was accepted and all of the girls I have talked to who were also accepted said they got it yesterday. It isn’t impossible that they were sent out today, but it is probably unlikely.
hey guys! the last day to confirm your spot if you were accepted is the 24th so the last emails should be sent out soon after that. I’ve honestly kind of lost all hope of being accepted, but congrats to everyone who got accepted!! I know you all truly deserve it!
