Grades aren’t too important from what I can tell. As long as you have A’s and B’s, you should be good! I would not submit an SAT, since they don’t ask for it.
@blue1nk I didn’t do either! I took a lot of time on my essays, so they were not informal. However, I didn’t put it into five paragraphs, because the character count is too small for that. I wrote concisely and clearly, making sure that my writing was professional and showed my personality.

Do we need to create a twitter account? It seems that they’re very active on twitter; I was going to create one today (the app is due tomorrow), but I’m afraid that if I list it, they’ll see that there’s no activity on the account.
I formatted my accomplishments in paragraph form. I don’t think it really matters how you format them. I did not have an organization before the forum. I think that they like diversity, because around half of the girls had orgs and the other half didn’t. Whether or not you have a twitter account will not affect your admission decision!

For your extracurricular activities, did you put them in paragraph form?
I know that a lot of people who got in had less-than-perfect transcripts. They care a lot more about your community work than your gpa. I did my extracurriculars in paragraph form
@curlygirl675 Did you make a video for your application? If so how did you format that? Was it only you in the video? What kind of location did you shoot in? How did you edit and shoot the footage?
I did not make a video, so I can’t really answer those questions. However, my understanding is that they would prefer for it to be just of you in front of a solid-colored wall. Make sure the lighting is bright, background noise is minimal, and try to shoot it all in one take. You shouldn’t really need to edit it besides cutting the beginning and end.
@curlygirl675 does anyone have any idea on why they extended the deadline and when we’ll find out the results? did they extend the deadline last year too?
Hello! This is my first time applying for the program. I read the thread last year and it seems like letters were sent out on different days? @curlygirl675 congrats on getting in last year!! Have you been able to start your project? Just curious 
Did you guys receive a confirmation email when you submitted your application?
@moonlitsequoia They didn’t extend the deadline last year, so I’m not sure. I’m guessing results will come out late April though.
