Thanks goodness, in the end, your daughtor was correctly diagnosed and cured. I will keep her experience in mind so I will be more persistant when doctor says everything is fine again…:-)…

As a long time sufferer of Sleep apena, diagnosed later in life, I would have him checked early. My sleep problems can be traced to the hypertension and Diabetes type2 in my life now in my forties. I had corrective surgery and it was amazing how much difference it made in my ability to breathe.

I had a trifecta done in one day(broken nose(youngest brother…rough family), tonsils (oversized) and narrow throat opening widened). I could breathe better right out of surgery than I could for years.

My son had many allergy problems and we took him in for tests and he regisitered very high on allergies, but he also had some breathing issues. We fixed up the nose with surgery and remarkably almost all allergies went away after surgery. His improved breathing eliminated almost completely the effects of many things we was previously allergic to. Also his endurance picked up and his fitness as well.

If your son has appears to have apena he may be required to do a sleep study. Check with your insurer on what they will cover for apena. We choose surgeries over breathing machines because we didn’t want to have to sleep attached to a pump. Explore your options.

thanks a lot for sharing with me about your son’s experience, now I know why my son always likes to have his mouth open – using it to breath, it seems that there is big possibility that his nose is not function well…really hope we can find a good nose doctor.

thanks again. I really appreciate all these help.
