High-Profile Conservative Republican Prof. Endorses Obama

McCain may want to balance the budget when talking about cuts in domestic spending, medicare, etc., I’m sure that’s true. But don’t fool yourselves into thinking he will add the cost of the war or military spending in general into that equation. Anyone who won’t raise taxes to pay for this and the “other wars” that he has assured us we wil be in will never come close to balancing the budget. I think the real “bait and switch” is McCain, if those who vote for him think his is a moderate.<br>

<p>You do know that McCain was an early proponent, along with Bill Kristol and company, of invading Iraq, don’t you? His complaint was with Rumsfeld’s approach. He wanted to do it bigger from the start.<br>
Granted, some may think that would have helped us “win.” I am still waiting to hear what winning will look like.</p>
