High School Class of 2013

Oh my god; that’s so horrible…

o.O

Feel guilty? Yeah.

BUT THEY’RE SO FUNNY

But, he isn’t disabled. He is parodying PunctuationBook.

I realized my outlook only applies to school. (Especially when it comes to “OMG I failed the test” and then getting the test back and seeing that you got a 96) I am generally not a pessimist around my friends (only if it will get on their nerves). :)

PronunciationBook* but yes. He is.

So anybody here anxious for their SAT scores? They come out March 29th for the exam yesterday.

I am! I took the SAT for the first time yesterday. I felt really good walking out of the test. I only allowed myself to look at the CR board because I didn’t want to freak myself out. I think I did pretty well.

I got a 196 on the PSAT this year, which is good, but not what I was aiming for. I think I improved a lot since then. How do you think you did?

I’m super anxious! I really didn’t study as much as I should have, which became glaringly apparent on the math…I won’t even divulge how many I omitted. But even on the PSAT I scored a 54, and math has always been my weakest subject, so I really can’t expect any miracles. Thankfully I got an experimental math section, so hopefully that helps me out a bit. I think I did pretty well (by my, not an average CCer’s standards) on CR and writing, though!

I’m taking the ACT… I hate the SAT. Lol. I am taking SAT subject tests though.

I think I had a Math experimental too, because I had four sections of it. Math is typically my worst subject out of the three, so I focused on it when I was reviewing.

OMG LESLEY ME AND YOU ARE THE SAME PERSON.

That is exactly my plan. I’ve hated the SAT’s format forever and only plan on taking the ACT (in June because I’m kind of going to be in Japan in April… Awkward). And also SAT Subject Tests.

People tell me daily “How can you think you won’t get into your college choices? You’re like God. Of course you’re getting in.” and I’m like, no, just because I have high grades at a school that makes it painfully easy to get high grades does not mean I’ll get into top colleges. Choices in order:

UChicago
Georgetown

George Washington
NYU
UCLA (Out of State Public School? I must be joking -_-)

Binghamton (For a month this was like my top choice and then I was like, wait, your Japanese program is horrendous and I don’t even want to look at your IR department, so now I’m considering it a last resort “safety” which is crazy because it’s definitely not easy to get in to :P)

OMG- I think we are the same person O.O I’m taking the ACT in June too… Although it’s not because I’ll be Japan… That would’ve been cool if I was going to Japan then. Lol

And I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere great! Your grades are amazing, and you seem pretty awesome too. :p

Binghamton was one of my top choices too until I discovered that pretty much anyone actually has a small chance at getting into top schools… I seriously used to think they only accepted geniuses…

Now binghamton is one my awkward matches… I feel like it’s a safety sometimes too, but it’s really not /:

Our thread totally died out…

^I know I rarely see it anymore. :(

It’s because everyone’s stressing over grades, ACT/SAT’s, AP’s and subject tests… Plus summer program applications too, probably.

*Bumps: Rescue from the second page.
So what everyone doing to study for these tests?

@descuff
hopefully done with sat I, as march scores are coming in this thursday. I don’t usually study for AP tests (esp not for bio, lang, and calc bc- practically guaranteed a 5) Will study for my sat IIs scheduled for may (or June?) by doing practice problems and combo studying for apush and sat ush. I think that’s it for standardized tests! Lots of time will be poured into my academic competition EC, though!

Cool. I’m trying to study for the June SAT’s. And also “trying” to study for AP Lit Exam. I’m hoping for at least a 4. I have doubt about getting a 3 though.

Y’all were talking about preferring the ACT. I thought it was soo much more annoying than the SAT. I’d say harder, but I don’t really remember much of the ACT. I just know that it was very tedious, and the science sections were completely unnecessary.

^ To each their own. I got a 170 on the PSAT my soph year but I just got a 33 on the ACT, no complaints from me.
