High School Class of 2015

@UKgirl23: Yes, it is. Is that too late for you?

@lappelduvide: Yeah, that’s right :/. Awww.

I would attend if I didn’t have drama club auditions from 3:30-5:30pm, sorry.

Hey Elf, Teaspoons, Alex, and Tennis Chick, how are you guys holding up? If I remember, you guys are taking the hardest classes out of all of us.

@HobbitTon no, that should be fine, depending on how long it is. Also where can I get details?

Yay! It lasts a little less than an hour, but you can leave at any time. You can get the details if you shoot me a PM really quickly.

@jax: Doing great! This semester is really fun and I’m loving it! My classes aren’t really that hard compared to others though, But having an after school online class as well as time consuming ECs is what makes it difficult. But I love it!! Got all A’s and a B right now but it will go up.

What about yourself?

@jax123 I’m doing pretty well, that is, compared to everyone else in my class. Actually, my classes aren’t super difficult this year (4 honors, no AP), but I do plan on self-studying a few APs (Euro and both econs), in addition to prepping for the AMC/AIME. I have a few A-'s right now that I want to bump up to A’s before the end of the quarter, but other than that, my only major concern is Honors Precalc, because it’s so dang hard!!! Even though I’ve already learned the material, the tests are ridiculously difficult. Overall, my classes are a bit harder and my teachers a lot better as compared to freshman year. Anyways, I hope you’re holding up well also.

@elf4EVA: No APs? I thought you were taking some. What classes do you have? All my test are pretty hard too especially in APES.

@Alex I tried getting into 2 APs (Bio and BC Calc), but my school wouldn’t let me take them (too many scheduling conflicts :(). So I’m self-studying Euro (taking Western Civ this year, so a lot of overlap) and Macro/Micro (because they’re probably going to be important to be able to understand). I only have 4 honors (English, Western Civ, Chemistry, Precalc), so basically, I’m going to die my junior year going from no APs to 4/5.

I feel smart in my other classes…and then I log on and see all of this ^. The people who self-study APs, take classes that most juniors or seniors take and what`ve I got to show? One little AP class…:)

@jax, I feel pretty honored to be asked ! honestly AP Physics and Calc are a breeze, my AP physics teacher doesn’t grade or even check our class work and homework, and we spend a lot of time working in groups and talking about random stuff. Every Friday we spend half the class watching a movie and going a physics problem from it (we’ve already done matrix, incredibles and mega mind). As for Calc most of the concepts are new, but straight forward. We just finished our limits unit I think (or about to, we are currently getting into derivitives). My other classes (ap psych and English) are a lot more studying and hw… I feel confident I can get straight A’s, not too sure how prepared ill be for the ap exams however.

Also I’m trying to really get involved in clubs (tech club, NAHS, and a service club) and hopefully do track in the spring…

@elf4EVA: I also couldn’t get into AP bio due to scheduling
@CE527M: Don’t feel bad!!! Most students don’t take a single AP class in their whole HS career! And many dont start until junior year

Ha, yeah I`m a genius compared to 75% of the students at my high school…

I’m self studying calc this year, it makes me feel smart  but still, compared to most people on here I’m not that clever

Yeah, at school, I feel super smart (mainly because everyone constantly reminds me that I supposedly am LOL), but I’m kind of the average CCer, if not below average :(. I haven’t qualified for USA*O, do not have hundreds of volunteer hours, and am not doing many ECs aside from music (although I plan on joining mock trial this year, just because it sounds really fun :)).

In the same boat as most others right now. Currently, I have five A’s and a B in pre-calc, but hopefully that will be brought up to an A after the next test.

Among the classes of this year, so far, the ones with the lowest grades are gym and health. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have As in all of them. most are above 95: AP chem, APUSH, honors precalc, honors English, Honors French. I’m happy.

I need to be able to do more push ups! geeeeezzzzzz!

@AlexHarper and @elf4eva I couldn’t get into ap bio either because it’s at the same time as calc so I’m taking ap chem and am not totally sure how I have survived si far. My APES tests are also really hard. The class is harder than I expected because lots of average kids take the class but I was wrong. I feel like I have been overstudying for chem and not enough for APES. But I certainly don’t want to risk my chem grade falling. But I don’t know my grade in chem or apes because my teachers haven’t given out progress reports even though they were supposed too. My chem teacher probably won’t give out progress reports and she hasn’t even graded the first test which is 15% of our grade (we took it more than a week ago)! I hope my APES teacher gives out progress reports tomorrow but at my school you never know haha

@MichalSR I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks APES is challenging! I managed to have a 97 in there but with hard work! I wish I could take more APs but Im lucky to get into the ones I have, most are reserved for Juniors and Seniors. I REALLY wanted AP chem, but we have so many pre reqs for that class like AP US history (which makes no sense lol!) that is a junior class.

haha I totally understand. I’m in civics right now which is a pre-req for ap us and I haven’t learned a single thing! some of the people in there are so ignorant (I’m being kind with word) that it amazes me. One guy didn’t know where Nebraska was and he didn’t know what the DC stood for in Washington, DC. I was amazed that someone could go through 15 years and not know some simple facts! haha Good job on your APES Grade! I’m sure you will do great!
