I like to swim, and used to be really good, but am not as good as I used to be.

But, I am on the track team (outdoor). Not fantastic or anything, but OK.

@4800 I’ve been doing basketball conditioning, and I’m pretty confident in my ability to make the JV team. Tryouts are this week.

I played golf last year, and did terribly. My clubs didn’t fit me, and I think I shouldve been hitting left handed.

I’m thinking about joining swim though. I have broad shoulders in comparison to my body, long arms (6’3-4 wingspan on 6’0 body), and size 14 feet. So there’s some potential, not to mention some of my good friends are in it.

What’s swim like though? Like in terms of practices, atmosphere, meets, and everything else you can describe.

^Oh, sounds like another Michael Phelps. He`s got a huge arm span too.

^The only difference is that he has short legs, and I have long legs. It’s funny actually cuz during the olympics this summer 3 girls posted on my facebook that I apparently look so much like Michael Phelps, with one of them adding “If he had straight teeth” haha.

Michael Phelps has been my favorite athlete since I first watched him in the Olympics 8 years ago. Do you really look like him?

I don’t really see it that much. But if 3 people said it on separate occasions then I guess I do. We both have the long arms and broad shoulders. He has a thinner build though being 6’4 194 muscle and me being 6’ 180. We share some features I guess.

In some pictures we do look alike, but he is the type of person that takes really good or really bad pictures, no in between, so its hard to determine.

^I’ll admit though that me and him do look alike in picture if he was slightly darker.

Awesome. So you could be mistaken as famous? :D

:( not so great grades on my report card guys (well I don’t know for sure yet) … I’m so ready to start next quarter and end it with straight a’s. I slacked so much on hw these past 2-3 weeks… And that’s really all that’s bringing my grades down…

Also, my mom really wants me to graduate a year early (you only need 24 credits in NC, and we take 8 classes a year… I already have 11 from 8th and 9th grade…) … Anyways I told her that I didn’t want to since I won’t have a lot of ec’s with leadership until I’m a senior/junior (normally only juniors and seniors can be vp and prez in clubs…) and it’ll weaken my chances at top schools (Princeton and unc chapel hill are my main ones right now) … But when she called up an admission counselor at unc the person sounded super impressed and confident that I’d get it (okay she wasn’t like its a sealed deal or anything, but she was genuinely surprised by my course load and thought I would have a good chance). My mom said it was okay that even if I was accepted next year, I didn’t have to graduate if I didn’t want to (and if I wasn’t I could stay my senior year and reapply)… When I thought about it I realized that practically everything I’m doing in highschool is for getting into an elite college, right?

If I can get straight A’s this year I think I’m going to do this next year:

AP world (not really hard)
APush (hard, lots of hw)
AP English 4(so-so on the hard scale)
AP Stat (math comes easy to me)
Honors French IV (normal)
Student council (easy)
AP Earth (easy, lots of hw)
Ceramics 2 (easy)

And take English III and civics and economics over the summer

Wait, there is AP Earth Science?

or do you mean Env Sci or Geography?

Speaking of report cards, do you guys still get tangible cards mailed home or whatever?? My school did last year, and my progress report was sent home earlier this month, but the district said it will be the last card mailed out. From now on, we have to ASK (and someone told me, PAY) for tangible report cards. If not, they can be viewed online. Any of your schools do this?

No school today. Use today (and tomorrow) to catch up with work in AP chem, APUSH, and games. :)

Year round competitive swimming is really tough but really rewarding in the end. I practice 9 times a week in the pool with 3 more weight sessions and 3 dryland sessions out of the pool. It is one of the toughest sports to train for but it is extremely satisfying and you can eat whatever you want without worrying about your waistline.swimmers tend to have close bonds with one another and though the coaches are maniacle at times they genuinely care about the development of each swimmer as swimmers and people. Disregard the next sentence, my phone is doing something strange.
demanding at times they

Still get tangible report cards, and I meant ap earth and environmental science, we just call it ap earth or apes most of the time

We get actual report cards. In elementary school, we get them handed out, middle and high school, mailed out.

@Tea:
Ahh, Okay.
That seems like a hard schedule for next year. 5 APs.

I am itching to get my PSAT score and its only been like 10 days!!!

Yeah, that`s a lot of APs, AP World is just a lot of different assignments, in my case, anyhow.

@kyp…do you look like anyone famous?

If you saw me,
You immediatly recoginize me
And i would be that person you recoginize

If you read crime blotters, Neighborhood Watch Lists, and FBI Top 500

You`re scaring me, kid.

^ Yeah thats kinda scary kypdurron

So today, I failed our unit test in precalc with a 58. I had it coming after spending the last two weeks walking around the class talking to people, but uhhh it sucks. That dropped my grade from a 94 to 85. Good think our quarter grades dont really count.

haha
Actually, I am unrecogniable

I look like your usual, All American Republican Country Club Southern Jock

@CE: I aint no Kid
