By Oxbridge admissions and reviews, yes Only about 3rd in the UK by exam results because it’s mixed. Thanks :)

Just checked their events, this week they have BOTH Helena Bonham Carter (an alumni) and BORIS JOHNSON (mayor of london) speaking!!! They had the head of education a few months ago.

Can’t actually believe I got in, it feels like one of those dreams you don’t actually expect to come true :)

I just made Jane Goodall’s National Youth Leadership Council! Getting to meet her when she comes to Atlanta, and I’m being flown out to New York City in a couple months. This is so unreal. I can’t even think right now.

HobbitTon, I wish your hand you write with the best of luck when filling out college apps; it will be sore after writing all your accomplishments. You need a specialized application asking what you haven’t done.

OK, so I think I figured out what classes I’ll be taking next year (speaking of school, I hear PSAT scores are in, only a matter of time before we find out):

-Honors? Algebra II (you all know how I despise math…)
-Honors Chemistry
-Spanish III
-AP Biology
-APUSH
-AP Language

Whaddya think? Foreign language (3 years worth) is mandatory to graduate. And taking the two science classes is somewhat different here, it’s AP Bio/Chem, where one day students do AP Bio, next day Honors Chem, etc, etc, etc.

I didn’t get mine either. I know we will get them this month but I really hope it’s by next week! I have off this Friday so I’m guessing we won’t get them tomorrow, but I can hope! I know it doesn’t really matter, but I really just want to know how I did.

So I took that asvab today. The first half with math, science, and English seemed easy, but I’m pretty sure I failed all of the engineering, electronics, etc.

AHHHH!! I want my scores bad… And 201 is great in my book! I mean… To get into top notch schools you need around a 210 so you’re doing pretty good. I’ve been sick all week so idk if we got them… I’m just hoping I did better then 182… And if all comes my way >200 would be amazing.

@CEM we got a pretty similar schedule… Except I’m taking French IV (took French I through 7 and 8th grade) and ap earth instead of ap bio… And ap world instead of honors chemistry… And ap stat instead of algebra II… Okay maybe not that similar haha but still… Also are any of you guys in a talent program ? Alex… (Forget their full username) probably is in the duke TIP on since we’re both in NC… But I’m pretty sure other schools have talent searches aswell…
I was just wondering cause I was thinking of doing one of the programs offered by the Duke talent search thing… But maybe I’ll find one more centered around programming or something for the summer :

@goodnoodle, I don’t know, I don’t think so We had to compare Medieval and Rennasiance art, and this is what I wrote:

In Medieval art, darker colors were used and the people were looking out at the audience, but Renaissance art utilized many different colors and employed an “action shot” technique, having the people in the painting be focused on the scene at hand.

Don’t think it was that great.

@Teaspoons…French is for suckers, Spanish is where it’s at What’s a talent program? I don’t know, we have something called upward bound, where at-risk kids go to visit colleges to get them hyped about colleges.

Do you guys think it’d be insane to take ap bio in addition to ap Calc AB, APUSH, apEnglish Lang, and physics honors (and united student body.) I figure that this way I’m done with science, and can have an easier senior year. I know that’s not uncommon here, but doubling up with one ap and one honors science is unheard of at my school.

I have the physics hon teacher for chem honors and he gives hw once a week if that means anything.

Idk if its worth it to have a difficult junior year and (comparatively) easy senior year or two moderately difficult years with senior being more difficult.

It’s funny because for our senior year at my school, we can choose to be a VPS (whatever that stands for) and be like assistants to teachers (an easy A class) and I’ll be taking a bunch of APs.

Well, do you want 3 or 4? 1 or 2 electives? Your choice.

This is what I am already thinking of taking senior year:
