High School Class of 2015

I’m with CE527M on this one. By July, my team won’t be playing any meaningful games, so in essence, I actually find baseball more interesting now than I would in July (minus the trade deadline), August, or September until the playoff race begins.

Do you like cricket ukgirl?

Hahahahahaha lol no. The most boring, posh people sport there is. Except golf.
I like playing rounders though, which is kinda the same thing I think?

Haha my AP World teacher is enthralled with cricket and has a friend in the UK that she is always talking about and asking him questions about the game.

I have friends that are completely obsessed with it, I guess it shows the area that I lack middle-classness
I meant rounders is similar to baseball, rather than cricket. A least, it looks pretty similar. I don’t know about baseball in enough depth to be sure.

I just found a new high in life: eating toast with homemade lemon curd and passionfruit syrup whilst watching history documentaries, I’m easily pleased :D

Whatever the Heck Lemon curd is I do not want to know. Sounds disgusting. I will not support the googling of lemon curd because i feel i will puke. So in essence, I am an ignorant bigot who is lemoncurdphobic

RUGBY State Championships on Saturday!

We are the last seed at:
2-4-1 (2-3-1 in Leauge)

Post 5655!

Lemon curd is just a thick lemon spread made with lemon juice, eggs and butter…

UKgirl thanks! Yes I have a gigantic list already. :D

Toured UVa today…what an amazing place! I used to take it for granted and didn’t want to go to it. “WHAT!!!” you ask. Well, even though it’s a top 25 school and #2 public school in the nation I guess since I live only a couple hours away I didn’t think much of it, but today changed my mind! Great campus, students, etc.

my school just held our first class meeting with officers. HORRIBLY SPLIT OVER CLASS POLITICS. HATE IT!! i wonder how we’re gonna pay for prom.
This years seniors struggled. 17000 for junior prom and 32000 for senior prom. They busted their bank in junior year. They’re paying 120 dollars.
Logistically things seem hard. In a school of about 500, i can’t see how we can muster up so much money (I’m assuming 40,000 for both prom alone, then there’s the senior trip).
Anybody have fundraising ideas.

I went to UVA a couple years ago to make a history (TJ) movie. I love that place!

Hey CE, when you said “toured” do you mean you went with a tour? Is it a campus tour? did you get to talk to the admission and so on?

Ahh but UVA sucks at college Football. Ill go to my state school A&M and watch some manziel junior year football.

@Eswara:
Are any students over 18?

@shmluza…Yep. First we went into an auditorium (there were like over 100 people there for the tour today!!!) and an admissions officer spoke about what UVa looks for in candidates, and also gave some general advice when applying to colleges.

Then they had about 10 tour guides that introduced themselves and we split into groups, about 30 to a group of two tour guides and we went around to different places on The Grounds (the Lawn, the engineering and science library, dorms, etc.) and they talked about academics, student life, traditions, etc. and answered questions. We ended at the admissions office where I got a bunch of brochures. You could also talk to an admissions officer with any questions too if you so wanted to.

My tour guides were awesome, one is a first year majoring in engineering, and the other is a third year majoring in history and minoring in Arabic and does ROTC.

Anywho, pardon the long explanation, but I think no college gives a better tour than UVa. I recommend to anyone who’s thinking about coming to C’ville.

@Kyp…so, they’ve got plenty of school spirit. I thought you lived in Mississippi, how is A&M a state school for you?

@CE that sounds really cool! I haven’t done any college visit yet. I don’t think I’ll do anything until next school year.

@kypdurron so you go to UVA and change the football situation alright? lol

Yeah, I’m indecisive about what kind of school I want (big, little, medium, urban, rural, etc.) so I’ve got large list so my parents figured I better start early. :stuck_out_tongue: Haha but just going on one tour gave me a general idea of what I want.

I am a military brat. My family is Miss for like 4-5 years. I am a Resident of the Lone Star Freedom State.

I SWEAR IF OLE MISS/ “STATE”/ or FRIGGIN SOUTHERN MISS was my State School I would get the hell out of MS immediatly.

Southern Miss: “Its really rigorous compared to MGCCC (a Juco). The students have like an 18 ACT average”
Ole Miss: “Oh in Mississippi Ole Miss is the best school. Its gots the best programs for law and buisness and English and it is suuuuper selective. Look at the ACT Scores for their average students”
State: “Oh, IF you want serious mo0ney go to State. It is like the Stanford of the South”.

All are true comments

Oh, ok. Does that qualify you for in-state tuition?

…o…k…

UVa may not have the best football team, but they are the #2 public university in the UNITED STATES OF 'MERICA. That and they have a pretty good ROTC unit. Not Corps of Cadets good, but hey, pretty solid.

Kyp, we have to continue on 2013’s legacy.
