@Hamlon Thanks and lol. I literally trip up the stairs all the time at my school. My school has three floors and it is always a workout to walk all the way up from the first to third floor.
Also I’ll be going to Lockheed Martin for the Engineering Day on Friday. I’ll definitely take a lot of pics. I wish I had a way to show them to you. If anyone has a way, please share.
The class I wanted to take through dual enrollment filled up already. :(( It’s kind of infuriating that at this school I have to wait until mid-April to register for classes. I guess I’ll be taking AP Bio instead of Intro to Bio now, but I did also see that Intro to Politics wasn’t full and fit my schedule. When I actually put that schedule together though, it looks pretty daunting:
Honors Precalc
AP Comp Sci
AP Stats
AP Lang
AP Bio
DE Intro to Politics
German 2
I don’t know… ~:>
@OneNormalKnight I want to go visit Vanderbilt!
@ak2018 You can do it through DM.
Here’s all of the AP tests I plan on taking now that I have my schedule all figured out:
World History (9)
US History (10)
Biology (10)
Psychology (10)
European History (10)
Chemistry (11)
Microeconomics (11)
Macroeconomics (11)
English Literature (11)
Spanish Language (11)
US Government (11)
Art History (11)
Calculus BC (12)
English Language (12)
Physics 1 (12)
Hopefully I’ll be able to shave a year off of college
@nyuhopeful44 7 AP exams junior year! I commend you so hard for that. You’ll have one hell of a second semester, but it’ll definitely be worth it if you can skip a year of college.
This is what I’m thinking for me, although I’m still not 100% sure about my 4 year plan:
US History (10)
Macroeconomics (10)
Microeconomics (10)
Comp Sci (11)
Stats (11)
English Language (11)
Bio (11)
US Gov (11)
Calc BC (12)
English Lit (12)
Art History (12)
Psychology (12)
@neptuna ayyyy we’re both taking APUSH this year! Best of luck!
I am about to submit my last application!
Submitted!
@nyuhopeful44 @neptuna looks like we’re a rare breed, sophomores taking APUSH!
My AP exams are

Calc BC (11th)
Euro (11th)

Macro (11th)

Psych/Art History (12th)
Physics C Mechanics (12th)
Physics C E&M (12th)
French (12th)
I know some of you are definitely taking more than me, but I like my future classes a lot and am legitimately excited for many of them.
What if we started a what’s app group chat or something, it’s much easier than this
@nyuhopeful44 Thanks! You too!
@gormar099 Freshman year I thought APUSH was like…the signature sophomore AP class. I’m still surprised that we’re actually probably a minority in the group of AP students!
What’s everyone’s dream school?
@neptuna same! At my school sophomores take APUSH or regular US History. It’s the #1 sophomore AP at my school.
@onedayusc NYU (lol kinda obvious)
@reidd799 I like your idea. A group me (its an app) could be fun for this! My friend has a group me for her college its super great and much easier and you can mute the gc.
I’m so nervous for tomorrow I find out my ap bio midterm (yes midterm its a long story) grade tomorrow along with some other major test grades that will make or break my mp grades. Also the emails from GWC come out tomorrow. It’s literally the day before break and I have so much stress ahh
@gormar099 @NYUhopeful @neptuna I’m in APUSH! But I don’t take the exam this year our school does APUSH in two years because the state requires us to have 2 years of US history so it’d be pointless to do it in one and then make everyone take another year of US history.
@applee1893 @Hamlon I expect this thread to definitely blow up between now and June. With AP tests and finals coming up in May and June this thread will be filled with stress and anxiety!
@mamaba do you mean the girls who code emails? They come out tomorrow? I had no idea. Ahh, so nervous! Good luck!
By the way, I will be visiting Caltech on Saturday for my science Olympiad competition. I am so excited and a tiny bit afraid. Would anyone like a post about it?
@Kelvin82 We’re “supposed” to hear back tomorrow. Both of my friends who are alumni of two separate years heard back april 1st so i’m assuming they’d continue with that???
Which location did you apply for?
Good luck to you as well!
(Also I apologize in advanced if they don’t come out tomorrow and for adding to any anxiety but I’m sure you’ll do great)
@neptuna Can you dual enrollment to a different institution? Maybe try asking your counselor to notify you if a spot opens up.
I’m going to be taking AP Lang and Pre-Calculus In our school there’s technically no Honors Pre-Calculus. We have Functions/Trigonometry (Pre-Calculus 1), which includes students who have taken Algebra II and not Trigonometry, and Functions/Analytic Geometry (Pre-Calculus 2), which includes students who have taken Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry (they assume you have some basic Calculus knowledge for Functions/Analytic Geometry but some will be taught). Both are weighed classes. I will be taking Functions/Trigonometry next year.
Also, I’d want to get want to get rid of that Intro to Politics class as soon as possible, but that’s just me. I’m trying to distance myself away from politics right now.
