I agree but I hope most engineering majors chose it because they enjoy it not because of the money. I would have a hard time going through school if I didn’t feel passionate about engineering.

You think I’m belittling people for pointing out stuff that you agree with. That engineering is hard. That’s my entire point.

Asian? White? Not sure what you are getting at.

i’m saying yes engineering is difficult, yes it is more difficult than most majors, that does not under any circumstance give you the right to belittle others or to give them any less respect than they deserve just because they picked an easier major. you aren’t better than everyone because you picked a harder major and whether or not you actually think that, it very much comes off like that is your stance in your posts.

When did I belittle anyone? By stating that Engineering is harder? By saying that I don’t respect achievements which are easy?

I think the main beef here is that there’s often more to those majors which you perceive to be easy, and so if you don’t actually know what it entails, you probably shouldn’t write it off immediately. It’s just the snap judgments of people who major in certain things that is objectionable.

well a lot of these majors aren’t known as ‘grad-school majors’ for nothing. Easy [easier than the next] to get a good gpa.

University:

Except that the other person agrees with me that Engineering is harder.

University: Really Hard College of Engineering
Major: The Hardest Engineering Major
HS GPA: 7.0/4.0 IM A SMART GUY
SAT: 50/1600 heh. that was due to an overflow error. : )
Uni GPA: 2.0/4.0 ahghghg engineering is soooo hard and i have to do so much work and man it makes me sooooo mad that all of those non-engineering majors get a’s while sleeping through classes (oh my god it makes me so mad) seriously my GPA translated into non-engineering gpa would be like 5.0/4.0 lol (other majors are worthless)

And I guarantee that the average engineering major jerks off way more to how difficult his major is than the average business/psychology/history major. : )

UCSD
