Holiday Breakfast ideas?

I’ve got the Cinnamon French Toast thing mostly prepped and ready to go in the oven, it just needs its topping. My daughter got home last night with a huge box of fresh produce from my nephew’s orange and lemon trees in southern California!

(Christmas was both easier and harder when the kids were younger. I’ve always woken up early–when they were younger, they did too. Now that everyone wants to sleep late, I’m up early, but no one else is.)

^Ditto, dmd. It is already 9 am, but the house is quiet; my college student D is still asleep (the big kid and her H are visiting his European relatives). H brought the paper, and we are eating pre-breakfast and watching TV.

We had to wake up our kids and now one of them is back in bed. I am on my new iPad. Woohoo. Breakfast was Danish sent by a friend from Wisconsin. Mmmmmmm.

Thanks for the Sausage Coffee Cake recipe jmmom! We had a bunch of skeptics here, but it’s almost all gone. Guess they liked it.

Thanks, UCLAbandmom! I tried that one for the first time and it was a HUGE hit! Every bit gone and family clammering for more. We also had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, toast, English muffins, bagels, fresh squeezed OJ and my H made Lattes for everyone. Even with a lot of helpful Ds, I still feel as though I’ve been in the kitchen since I woke up this morning!

Hope everyone had as wonderful a day as we did!
