<p>Jeez, that sucks. King Hall in all its glory is one of those experiences you just never, ever forget.</p>
<p>I notice in the “before” picture posted by heartcross that all the wood has been removed from the hall. Our table tops were of some laminate or other, but the walls, beams on the ceiling, and chairs were all wood. I will be the first to admit the new (current) look is too cold for my tastes.</p>
<p>The proposed renovations look pretty sharp, though. That skylight is a nice feature.</p>
