mafool- I think my wife will kill me if I put another “relative” ahead of her in the schedule. Saintly woman, she’s been waiting 10 years for the bath redo. ;)

I’ll let her go first. :)

Don’t know if I’m allowed to list this link, but the following site has some very good insight from experienced consumers…and pictures of people’s finished kitchens. (not quite as nice a set-up as College Confidential, though.) Scroll down from the top of the page, and do some searching and you’re likely to find some input on refacing, and also some websites to visit for purchasing fixtures etc. online.

Hey,

This might help out with any questions or research about cabinet companies before you start.

[Cabinet Companies in Solano County CA » The Prime Buyer’s Report](http://www.myprimebuyersguide.com/ca/fairfield-cabinets.html)

It is a list of cabinet companies. Good luck with your new cabinets!

We had estimates done for refacing & found one company to be very reasonable. After checking their references carefully, we hired them to reface our kitchen cabinets. 20 years later, we are still happy with the work! It was far less expensive than new cabinets, and it looks great.

Hi, kelsmom!

Completely off post: how’s the job going?

It’s going …

I really like the field of financial aid. That part is good. I like getting a paycheck, too.

And that’s all I can say at this point (feel free to read between the lines).

Got it. Thanks. Hang in there!
