I even found a study when my daughter and I were researching the effects of the progestorone that I was given when I was pregnant with her that indicated that the extra hormone to prevent early delivery may also have predisposed her to her sexual orientation.

Not that it matters now- the injections relaxed the smooth muscle and kept me from going into labor even though she was born 10 weeks early from a unrelated cause.
It is very interesting though

Patuxent, there is no need for any word beyond “gay.”

And a nice clever smear by association, juxtaposing discussions of “gay” with “child molester.” I recognize that to a certain, ugly non-discriminating mindset they can all be lumped under the umbrella of “pervert.”

Whether genetic of not, homosexuality is certainly innate. I’ts not a choice and it’s not learned behavior. If you’d take the trouble to talk to a dozen or so, the conclusion will be inescapable. Though I don’t think the chat will be very engaging if you insist on wearing your biohazard suit.

I agree with you re: hate crime laws
Murder is murder- assault is assault - rape is rape
I do think that the crimes should be given a higher sentence for aggravated- in the case of children, the disabled, the elderly, for especially maliclcous intent - murders that occur when the victim is not known to the perp, murders that occur when committing another crime like burglary or auto theft or rape, but we need to use the laws we have to prosecute- not make more laws, but we don’t use the laws to the full extent- people are allowed to plea bargain or otherwise get off or postpone their sentence
Look at Martha Stewart- she has a bracelet that tracks her everymove but we can’t keep women safe from battering boyfriends or children safe from repeat molesters. We need to enforce the laws on the books. and not make the victim feel like the one who is guilty.
I was sexually assaulted by a group of junior high boys on campus of the school. I couldn’t get anyone to listen to me about it. If it had occured on the city streets by adults then they would have been in jail, but something that happens to a minor by other minors- pah- no one gives a RF.
I am aware of children whose classmates think they are “gay” whether they are or not, who have been victimized and harmed, sometimes the teacher is even aware of it and condones or otherwise looks the other way.
Attitudes that persist in “blaming” an individual for their sexuality or even their perceived sexuality, fan the flames of hate and justification for those who would harm others.
