Honda CRV?

2010 CRV owner here. Just went out to check out the backseat folding down situation. You can fold the back seat down easily enough, but because the back cargo area is another 5 or so inches below, there’s not a continuous flat surface.

But you can pull the seats out of a CRV pretty easily. Turns out that there’s these black straps in the cargo area that you can tug and it will disconnect the back seats so you can remove them.

Thanks for making me learn something about my car.

Wildwood - I give up. What’s an SLP?

REALLY appreciate all the detailed responses here, especially about the fold down seats.

Our family is very slow on purchases…planning on a CRV purchase ‘soon’ which in our house could be up to a year! We do all our research and then wait for the opportune time which is usually when the car to be replaced dies.

Works for us since the car being replaced is usally worth only a few thousand and so we’re not worried about making alot on the trade in.

An SLP is a speech language pathologist. The American Speech and Hearing Association has some kind of deal with Subaru. No…I hadn’t even thought of that. I wonder if it will really bring the price down to where I want it. I’m looking at the Subaru Limited…leather seats, heated seats…top of the line. It’s MSRP is about $28,000 which I will NOT spend. I’ve been looking at 2009 models and have seen some with lower mileage…but if the ASHA discount REALLY brings the price down…hmm…I’m going to have to go in and talk to these folks!!

^ When I spoke to the salesperson on Saturday, he claimed it was cheaper than he the price he would have to pay. Also, there is no negotiating. It is a set price.
