And many of us who have been in the South all our lives and for generations are progressive and welcome diversity, too. And actually a lot of the Northerners who are relocating to my state are conservative and they seem to be the ones leading the charge to dismantle protections we have in place to keep our school systems diverse and they want make it more “like it was back home” with “neighborhood schools” which results in “good” and “bad”. It’s a big problem that really galls me, but that’s off topic.

Ok, well - my comment wasn’t meant to go in that direction. Just pointing out that we have a good mix here.
