My daughter is a sophomore Chemical Engineering major at Nova and in the Honors Program. She was not invited when first accepted EA, but she was notified during the summer that a spot had opened up and she accepted.
She enjoys the Honors program, she is an athlete so her Freshman year she lived with other athletes, but her second year decided to move into Honors housing and secured apartment on West campus. Honors has some fun events too.
Being a CE major is difficult with the honors program because at this time they do not offer Honors engineering classes. She takes other Honors classes such as philosophy and theology. They have a lot one credit classes, last semester she took improv honors class and this semester a Bach honors class.
She wanted to go to Nova and initially was disappointed when not invited into Honors but she got over that.
So you just never know what will happen. Congrats on your acceptance!!
