<p>I would recommend that you go to Michigan because it has a more accomplished student body and a better overall reputation. If money isn’t a concern, then why not go to the better school? Michigan has a better pipeline in almost every conventional postgraduate career path I can think of including medicine, law, business, engineering, public policy, etc. in comparison to Wisconsin.</p>
<p>I think it’s always good to go to another state for college and broaden your horizons a bit. Another important factor to consider is that if you do well at Michigan undergrad, you will have an easier time getting into Michigan Med compared to other non-Wolverine applicants. I went to one of the top high schools in Michigan and I can count off at least 7 friends off the top of my head just from my school that are going to Michigan Medical School after attending UMich for undergrad. Michigan’s professional schools seem to love their undergrads.</p>
