Honors' selectivity?

@Beaudreau I get what you’re saying. The problem is, however, I committed to Miami about one week ago. Miami’s honors program is indeed not something too phenomenal since Miami’s academics standards has always been really high. Anyway, I’ve just received news from Earlham - they increased my financial aid package, so I’m actually having to re-decide which school I’d like to go to.

@evelynne1996 - I don’t know a thing about Earlham, but I am sure that you will make a great decision. You are not only very smart, but wise beyond your years. Good fortune to you!

Congratulations for admittance to Honors to Beaudreau. Evelynne 1996; I am happy you have options and I too know nothing about Earlham, and I’m originally from Indiana! It’s a bit north of Miami so colder and I think it is a smaller school so that might be a preference. As I said before, I would bank on any high performing student getting in the honors program but you obviously must make that call. Best of luck in your decision.

@evelynne1996 If you have questions about Earlham, feel free to send me a note. Earlham and Miami have quite different vibes. Miami is somewhat closer to the cultural norms, while Earlham is a little more counter culture. Earlham is known for providing an excellent education in a non competitive atmosphere. The lack of fraternities and sororities would give you one indication of the difference. I don’t think you said anything about curricular or extra curricular interests. That might help in thinking about what school is right.

Thank you all for your help!
