The Twitter feed # ThaiCaveRescue has some good information and some heartbreaking stuff.
Here’s the unroll for the Twitter thread from “Puff, probably a real person.” https://■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/thread/1016112164418015232.html
Worth reading.
Second group of divers are going in to bring our next batch of kids from cave per the live feed. Crossing fingers that things continue to go well.
Is that a twitter feed, HImom?
This was where I first saw it mentioned that rescuing the next group was underway.
Hopefully the meditating the asst coach led the boys in helped them remain calm and will make their rescue easier with no panic.
Another article. Names of the rescued kids have been released.
Here’s an interesting article that talks about the Australian doctor and cave diving expert who is a member of the rescue team and is responsible for medically evaluating the boys:

Just read they got 6th boy out. Keeping my fingers. Can’t imagine what those parents are going through waiting for their boys.
If you look at Twitter there is a video of how the divers are squishing themselves through the gaps. I hear 7 are out now. Tremendous operation of skill and bravery.
CNN is reporting 8th boy just came out! Unfortunately, they are done for the day so the divers can rest.
Well…if they are up to 8 successful rescues…hoping there is only ONE more day until all are successfully rescued!
I read that the boys at the hospital are being kept in isolation for observation to see if they have contracted an infection from the cave. I suppose “cave lung” (or whatever they called it) can be spread from human to human.
(Hope this makes sense. I’m in a hurry to get to work.)
It must be agonizing to be waiting as the others are taken out. And also agonizing for the parents who don’t know who is coming out and having limited access to them when they do emerge.
Apparently the coach taught the boys to meditate. Honestly, I suspect that part of the success so far must be due to a combination of keeping calm and ignorance. The less the boys know about the dangers, the better.
I would imaging knowing the first 4 boys made it out alive must have made those remainder boys feel a lot more confident about the journey.
BBC reporting that a cave rescue expert said the boys are being pulled through the water with the divers doing the work and the boys mostly being passive. He also said it was likely they were being lightly sedated to prevent panic.
That makes sense to me given the boys can’t swim.
How about the super human efforts of the divers pulling along a teen. Their breathing apparatus and keeping everything calm for six hours in the murky dark. And that’s after six hours in to get there.
Just read that the parents aren’t being told which kids have been rescued. That strikes me as both crazy and compassionate at the same time. You’re keeping parents of the rescued kids in needless suspense, but you’re also not making things worse for the parents still waiting. Apparently all families have agreed to remain together at the site until everyone is out. I don’t see this ever happening in the US, but it’s inspiring and heartwarming how the families are sticking together for mutual support and speaks well of the local culture, IMHO.

I agree! It would never happen in the US, but what an amazing testament to the parents’ support for each other.
