<p>I want to point out something here. Overall, UChicago now has a better medical school placement than its peers.</p>

<p>Cornell has a medical school placement rate of 67%.</p>

In 2002 when there were fewer applicants, nationally and at Cornell, 81% of all Cornellians were accepted. In 2010 applications were up significantly and Cornell’s acceptance rate was 67%.

<p>JHU (and this is shocking) has an overall medical school placement rate of merely 63%.</p>

As a whole, Johns Hopkins has one of top 10 largest pools of applicants to medical school nationally. A total of 352 applicants with bachelor’s degrees from Johns Hopkins applied to medical school for 2008. Of these 223 (63%) were accepted to at least one school.

<p>One of my friends asked the CCIHP advisors to confirm their claim that UChicago has a placement rate of 77% last year, and they reaffirmed that number.</p>
