<p>Make sure to visit the Lake Shore Drive area near the Magnificant Mile, Navy Pier, Northwestern Univ’s Chicago campus (law & medical schools) & upscale hotels, shopping, dining & entertainment. Although not close to the University of Chicago’s campus, it is an area worth exploring to help understand why many prefer Chicago over other major cities.
P.S. I failed to address the issue of hotel options during a visit to the Univ. of Chicago. My recommendation is to stay in the Magnificent Mile area, expensive–but worth every cent, in my opinion.</p>
