Housing assignments

Thanks @lefty1‌. Unfortunately she is still on the list. Our next step is to ask the school what room type are we being charged for since her spot in the double was given to someone. I’m sure there will be an appropriate answer. Anyway, my D is doing fine, had her scholarship reinstated from her bad semester and made dean’s list last year. It’s a good lesson learned. Her grandmother gave us $5,000 to help offset the unbudgeted cost and told our D that she needs to include us in these type of decisions going forward. My D feels horrible and responsible for the additional financial burden she has placed on us. I told her don’t worry about it. These things all have a way of working themselves out and that the money is not the most important thing in life. I also told her to focus on her goals and continuing her successes academically.

Sounds like your D is proceeding well and I wish her the best as well. It’s an interesting phase of life and provides great life lessons in a condensed form. I appreciate your thoughts and wish nothing but the best for you and your D. On a side note, this fall we became empty nesters which is an interesting phase of life but one we are looking forward to embracing.

Good luck and take care.
