@anisqoyo, You’re correct - students do get priority for dorm assignments based on number. I meant that roommates are assigned by random unless you request one; in other words, there’s no roommate matching based on simple things like sleep schedule, quiet, etc.
@amsunshine, yes Honor College students get priority for Landis. My daughter was hoping for a low number so she’d have a shot at one of the single rooms in Landis. They are likely reserved for medical conditions, sophomores, etc. anyway.
My concern sounds silly, but she will have a miserable semester if she has a loud, late-night roommate. I wish they had single bedroom suites like UCF - they would be ideal for my daughter. The privacy of your own bedroom and the social benefits of three roommates.
