Housing Near Hecht?

Oh okay, for a while there I was confused as could be. I thought it was a bit odd that they had accepted anyone this late, considering there’s less than a week till Spring semester starts. Congratulations on being accepted for Fall 2012 then!

The FSU campus is actually rather small for such a large university- which certainly has its pluses (nearly everything on campus is just a short walk away) and its drawbacks (there’s a distinct lack of parking, and unfortunately, room for expansion is quickly getting limited).

If you get an east side dorm, the walk to the other edge of campus is only about 20 minutes or so. I live in McCollum on the west side of campus, and any time I go to class in the Bellamy building or HCB near the student union, it takes about 10 minutes to get there, and that includes usually waiting to cross the two roads in between. I do however walk relatively fast, so it might be about 15 minutes for someone who walks slower.

I just looked where the Criminology classes were being held next semester, and they’re spread across much of the east side of campus- the Bellamy building, HCB, Diffenbaugh, Sandels, and the Conradi building. If you apply for an east side dorm, you’ll be within maybe 10 minutes walking of any of those buildings HCB and Diffenbaugh being the furthest).
