Sutherland Hall doesn’t have “triple” housing. It is suite style, with rooms that accommodate 2, 4, 6, or 8 people. Towers A and B are doubles, and Tower C is a single. I think 2/3 of the lounges in Towers are converted rooms right now, with 4 people to a lounge-room. There are no 3-person rooms for freshman, at all.

Another thing about Sutherland is (as TitanMom said) it’s athletic housing and honors housing. So unless you and your friends are UHC students/apply to live in UHC housing, you can’t simply pick Sutherland as a housing choice (you are limited to Towers and Lothrop).

I’m also going to be the devil’s advocate and say: Don’t even room with your friends! I think it would be a really good experience for you guys to live with and try to meet new people, instead of making college high school 2.0. A good intermediate option would be to pick the same dorm to live in, but not pick each other as roommates. Sometimes, the best friendships can be ruined by living with someone…
