Anniemom - unfortunately most freshman pick Towers and not everyone ends up there. Last year my D wanted to be in double in Towers and ended up in a single in Holland (all girls dorm) and was NOT happy when she learned her the housing assignment. It all turned out fine though. There were some clear benefits to having a single and from what I understand at Lothrop there are a lot of singles and I am sure he will be on all freshman floor. The RA’s did a lot to get the singles to meet each other so at least they would have someone to eat dinner with and go to orientation activities with.In fact, two of those girls my daughter will be rooming with next year. I understand the rooms in Lothrop are more spacious than Towers and as lkf725 said it is not far from Towers and yes, he will have the benefit of a lot of nursing students in the dorm
Good luck to him.
