How accurate is the political climate from ChatGPT in some LACs

Big thanks to all for the input. Niche would be one source, and ChaptGPT seems to be drawing data from multiple sources, including Niche.

Personally, I am not sure how useful a campus visit may be. We may catch one moment, although it may or may not reflect the climate of the school.

LACs are small, and it may be harder than large schools to avoid some activities/climate.

We have visited half the LAC’s on this list and have not encountered any protests or indications of extreme political views on any of them. In fact, that goes with the essence of what a LAC should be - students studying various subjects and not necessarily getting boxed into a major/career right away. Same with political views.

I would think LACs are less political. That’s not where you saw the issues happening.

A Hillsdale, of course, will be more political…but you don’t have the #s there and as we know a lot of protestors at many places were brought in - and it’s the big names that get the attention..so they’re likely not going to rural Virginia or Iowa to light up a school environment.

I’m not sure the climate you are looking for - but my guess is, it will be more low key at an LAC - and more respectful as beliefs are shared.
