<p>(Had one summer course before I left out which is why first semester doesn’t match cumulative ).</p>
<p>Was reluctant to post this…the reason I did is to show freshmen that even with 2 4.0’s in a row, not doing too great first three semesters does a lot of harm. I highly recommend getting one’s act together in terms of working hard sooner rather than later – I wish I had.</p>
<p>Oh yeah, I transferred too, so my 3.85 becomes a 0.0</p>
<p>Jeez people bounce around majors a lot. I’m like the effing Terminator…I’m going to graduate in 4 years whether it kills me or not. That = no time for major switching.</p>
<p>You can usually switch majors and graduate in four years… Especially with AP credits that get you out of general classes and again especially if classes overlap.</p>

<p>It might just be engineering, but if you switch you’re pretty much guaranteed to go over 4 years because there’s very little overlap with the exception of gen ed stuff. Even without switching, doing engr. in 4 years implies full course loads and no repeats.</p>
<p>my gpa is over five thousand and i study quantum nuclear astrophysics and noodle around with a little string theory on the side. my grades just keep going up!</p>

<p>Agreed! It wouldn’t be so bad if professors knew how to teach and keep things simple instead of going on off on some wild tangent.</p>

<p>I’m doing Aerospace now and could finish before four years with all 124 credits as AP credits remove the gen ed courses and free up part of the schedule. Someone could easily switch between engineering disciplines and be done in four years or switch to a math or physics major and not have a problem finishing as well. The only scenario where there may be a problem is if the person wanted to switch in their third year after taking many discipline-specific courses.</p>
