how can one print other peoples facebook photos?

If you are downloading a copy of friend’s or family member’s photo for your personal use, how is this stealing? They have made it publicly available to you, in essence they have already given you the photo. It you are expecting that it is somehow “view-only” then you need to get educated about how this stuff works.

If you are selling or otherwise making commercial use of your friends and family’s photos (or those of total strangers) without permission then yes you are a scumbag.

If you are a professional photographer and aren’t watermarking your photos and severely restricting the access and resolution available on-line, you are an idiot.

It has been explainedto me like that also notrichenough

Own them? No.

You are giving them a license to use it, which they need to be able to display it to other people.

Now that facebook allows for larger images uploaded, you can print very large prints if the user chose “high quality” when uploading. A pretty new app allows you to browse all friends photos and order prints and products such as mugs, mousepads, etc. You can even get good 4x6 prints and coffee mugs with standard uploads. The app below warns you about low res images.

Here is the link, you have to be logged into facebook to run facebook apps: https://apps.facebook.com/morephotosfb</a></p>
