How could they be written by the same author?

Your point? “Bad” is a subjective term. I can’t say for Grapes of Wrath because I’ve never read it (like a bajillion books) but Jane Eyre, I’ve read the first 10 pages. It was a bad book. Doesn’t matter if it’s a “classic” or any other of that utter bs. It’s all subjective.

I can say pokemon’s a good book, while some may not. Doesn’t matter.

Yeah well, anybody who doesn’t agree with you that Pokemon is a GOOD BOOK is totally wrong. Duh.

Oh good, I’m not the only one that despises The End.
I was just ****ed when I finished reading it. The ending wasn’t really an ending at all…

Franz Kafka:
The Metamorphosis - Good
The Judgment - So very odd

I just have to say…that I hated The Grapes of Wrath. It’s not my kind of book.

Anyway,
J.K. Rowling:
Good: Harry Potter 2-7
Bad: Harry Potter 1
(sorry)

Alexandre Dumas
Good: Three Musketeers Series, Count of Monte Cristo
Bad: The Last Cavalier (not bad, but not as good by a long shot. Probably because it wasn’t finished.)

Christopher Paolini…

Good: Eldest
Bad, but readible: Eragon
Absolutely horrible: Brisingr.

Frank Herbert
Good: Dune
Bad: the rest of the series… well, I think the second and third were alright, but they just went downhill. Stopped reading after #4, I think.

And seconding the OP about Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal.
