How did I get accepted?

fmhskid: You weren’t a shoe-in based on your test scores. Nobody is a shoe-in because of one aspect of their application, and especially not the one that FSU considers to be least important of the big three (GPA, course rigor, and test scores, with test scores being least important of these 3). You were accepted because you’re a well-rounded applicant.

LookOverThere: A 3.18 unweighted isn’t really all that high, not to mention that with a 3.18 unweighted, it’s impossible per FSU’s calculations it would be impossible to have a 4.5 weighted.

It’s already been said why they were accepted: They had decent test scores, a decent GPA, and a good level of academic course rigor, as well as an overall upward trend in their grades, which shows that more than likely, any bad grades received early on were an anomaly.
