LOL

Re: Stanford accomplishing more in 100 years than Harvard in 400:

Wonderful as Stanford is, that seems like a bit of hyperbole. I would think the contributions of, say, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy would count for something, as well as countless Cabinet secretaries, members of Congress, and Supreme Court Justices (including 6 of the current 9). Also Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Henry Adams, Stephen Crane, Henry James, William James, Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, T.S. Eliot, Wallace Stevens, Robert Lowell, Anne Sexton, Adrienne Rich. Leonard Bernstein. Lincoln Kirstein. J. Robert Oppenheimer. Bronson Alcott. Henry Cabot Lodge. Charles Peirce. Robert Coles. Paul Samuelson. John Kenneth Galbraith. Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. The second law school and the third medical school in the country, and the dominant methods of teaching law and business.

Stanford has a ways to go yet.

It is pretty obvious.

Stanford mother what gives you the right to make judgements on my acceptance. My stats wouldn’t disqualify me even if i was white. THERE ARE OTHER THINGS THAT MATTER. A 2400 and a 4.0 doesnt mean anything . Im not saying i would of gotten in if i was white, but it would have been possible.

and i know some people who have all the hooks i do but had much better “stats” and got deferred. so its wasnt just urm status. There is something they like about me, i dont know *** it is, but it exists.

then explain why i was chosen instead of other african americans with better stats?

no. its because ive got something that cant be reflected in some meaningless test of random knowledge. not even knowledge actually.

Thanks for the replies, all.
I had a feeling it would be something semi obvious (silicon valley)

but WOW, jhs…that was ridiculously well informed and helpful =)

and i don’t think stanford needs me to say it to know how prestigious they are haha

EDIT: ok, not thanks to ‘ALL’
this thread is getting very pointless =(

As hilarious as this is to watch, it’s getting kind of pointless and stupid (not that it wasn’t pointless and stupid to begin with).

Mods?

supereagle10, you speak the truth. Let’s get this StanfordMom off these forums, HE’s quite annoying.

U are a fool. How was it because of my skin? I have a friend in NY named ifechi who is almost just like me but has a 2230 and that cat didnt get in. Ive worked hard, probably harder than others who are smarter than me and thats why i got in. My URM status helped but is not the sole basis of my selection. i dont care if i was black, yellow, white, or purple. I worked my rear end off and thats the main reason why I’m in.

supereagle - just ignore StanfordMom. You are obviously a well qualified applicant. Your acceptance letter automatically tells you that.
StanfordMom - no matter what you think it is more difficult for a URM to accomplish what they have when compared to white people. Life for URMs is certainly not the same as it is for ORMs and just so you know I’m not a URM myself. Sadly enough I’m Indian.

I’m very proud of you supereagle and, MOM, I of course know that mothers are usually not male, I was referring to your tendency to speak like a teenage boy.

For the record Stanfordmom, i never said that if i was white i wouldnt of gotten in, cause i dont necessarily believe that. stop making things up dear :)

Lol, was StanfordMom’s thread deleted? The one labeled, “a few truths”?

I think they deleted her altogether. I reported her, so I’m glad her and her immature posts have disappeared.

Nice job Olive!

Hazaah! The wicked ***** is dead!

It was the least I could do! ;)

thanks Olive, she was a tad bit obnoxious (■■■■■■)
