<p>I’m not sure about the PE exam requirements (this might vary by state) but I can tell you that an ME degree will certainly qualify you to work in the structural analysis area. MEs take a lot of mechanics courses. As an ME you could focus more on mechanics and take some finite element, structural dynamics, and vibrations courses as electives.</p>
