This way you have a chance to get to meet and befriend other who will eventually join a different house than you, or not go greek at all, and have those friendships established. Also, the entire freshman year gives you a chance to look at the greek houses and decide which one you really feel like you fit with. -shrugs- it’s not a perfect system, but neither is the other, and the both have their merits.</p>
