How do I convince my lying parents that FAFSA will check assets and stocks?

They already completed the FAFSA and it asked for the assets, and now they were selected for verification.

I agree with @kelsmom. Just let them fill out any questions that pertain to their finances as you really don’t know what they are anyhow.
