How Do I Look? Advice?

CAS is largely considered to be just behind Stern in terms of average SAT scores. Most people say shoot 2000+, as 1900s are on the low side of CAS with students having 2000+ scores being allotted spaces in LSP rather than CAS. So it’s true that the 2000+ is an ideal score to have. 1900 is approximately the 25th percentile score (meaning that 25% of students score 1900 or lower) and the 75th percentile is about 2,200 (meaning that 25% of students score 2200 or higher). Meaning that a 2000 SAT score is about average and considered the “norm” for trying to get into CAS. A sub 1900 score is not very likely to gain CAS admission unless other factors (GPA/ECs/hook/etc.) are more weighted than would be expected. This being said, NYU is test “flexible” meaning that you don’t HAVE to submit the SAT IF you take the ACT, 3 AP tests prior to senior year in three different subject/content areas, OR 3 SAT II subject tests in three different subject/content areas. I’ve provided a link for you to read more into NYU’s test policies and what tests they accept:

Which essentially means you take a math AP or SAT II, a literature or humanities and another non-language (For example, I believe that it means something such as - AP English Literature, AP Bio and AP History, where the 3rd test can be in any non-language subject)
