How do I make my DD boyfriend feel comfortable for 7 day visit?

The “kids” are 21. The funny thing is I wasn’t that concerned about the sleeping arrangements. She has her own apartment at school and I know they spend a lot of time together there. The “plan” is for her to stay in her room, and for her boyfriend to stay in her sister’s room. I am not so concerned with the intimacy issues mentioned because she will be leaving three days after he leaves to go back to school. She also has been back to her school to visit three times this past summer, as recently as last weekend.I even asked her if she wanted him to stay in her room (she has two twin beds) and she was uncomfortable with that idea. I have purchased some tickets for them and my daughter is a real “doer” as I think he may be.

We live in a standard three bedroom colonial and the space although very adequate for us, is not that large. I am thinking I will remove all the piles of stuff from the finished part of the basement which will give them some space “away” from us when they are home.

My daughter was abroad last fall semester (we visited her there) and went back to school herself for the spring semester. We didn’t go down to her school last spring. I think I just feel odd about meeting her boyfriend for the first time while he is staying here.

I asked my daughter what is favorite cereal/snack foods are and she said fruits and veggies, but she feels funny asking. She has had many other friends come for weekends and she has never felt “funny” about giving me a list or asking.

I think one of my issues is that I really am a homebody and I am not that used to having company. I appreciate everyone’s suggestions.

–I’ll have his favorite snacks/beverages
–I have already bought tickets to the Redsox/Yankees game
–Plan to get tickets to Blue Man Group
–Will keep the separate bedrooms for their comfort
–Will plan a few dinners together either out or in
–I will dust off the basement and restock the basement fridge

She has a huge list of things she wants to do. This will be the only vacation either of them will have this summer before school begins.

You have all been so helpful. I don’t have any sons/brothers/nephews so please keep all of the suggestions coming!

OP, tickets to the baseball game and to the Blue Man Group! You’re great. Reading your list, I’m certain things will go well. Good luck!
