The way musicians make an income often “morphs” as time goes on. Our kid started with a touring ensemble. Then went to a city where he was a member of a few ensembles. Then got into recording and mastering. And he teaches also both on his instrument and some CC courses…everything related to his love of music. He also continues to play in a few ensembles, and brokers musicians for a venue.
The key is…he loves what he is doing and can pay his bills.
