At this point PhD kid has a teaching job and admin position at a college with performing arts. where most admin are also performing or visual artists. They started at a low level and moved up. Composers have traditionally been in tenure track positions but those are dwindling, as is funding at this moment in time. Kid feels lucky but worked hard.
