i’m definitely planning on doings unifieds! i live in alaska so audtions and traveling is quite hard for me, so most of my auditions will either be at unifieds or online.
Is University of washington an audition based program? Please consider adding some non audition based programs that are safetys based on academics. Auditions can be so unpredictable that it is really impossible to put any as a safety.
If you’re trying to narrow down your list in MT, then I would strongly advise having a couple of programs that do not require auditions.
Some other threads you may want to check out include Good MT BA Colleges?,
Do I Need to Add More Safeties?, and Worried about skill level
Some other schools that have gotten various mentions for the opportunities for people to study MT without an audition include Muhlenberg, Drew, St. Olaf, Luther, and U. of Iowa.

If you want to hear more about JMU, I’ll tag in @KatMT who is on faculty at JMU to speak to the program.
