If you go to SJSU, you are more likely to be established and do well in classes where it matters (upper-division), come across multiple opportunities, and have a wider network. If you go to CC, you’ll save money, have a second chance at the college admissions process, and have more time to figure out exactly what you want to do.
SJSU has all of the aspects of a stereotypical college experience but since we are a commuter school it’s what you make of it. We have top-notch athletics, a great diverse Greek system, and a good amount of students not from the Santa Clara county.
Sticker-price wise according to College Board, if you were to live on-campus for the 1st year then off-campus for the 2nd year, you will have to put in $54,476. At Sierra CC, it would be $26,022. This is including tuition, housing, textbooks, transportation, etc.
