How do you keep up the "bonus" cash back on credit cards?

I just called discovercard to ask a question about a pending charge (it was nothing) and they told me that if you contact them they are offering 2% bback on all purchases tomorrow for St Patricks day. I had them sign me up (though dont know if I am buying anything tomorrow) but go ahead and request it- cant hurt!

I should be embarrassed to say I have no idea about the rewards on my cards. I do use my American Express card which I get the reward points which I use for travel. I also get the Costco rebate at the end of the year. I have a Discover card that I have had for years but I rarely use it anymore. How do you find out about the special offers? I also have a Chase Mastercard that I use at my Chiropractor and my hair dresser since they don’t take anything else. The Chase card is one I have had since I signed up for it the first week of college. Over the years they have changed it but I pay no yearly fee but don’t get any rewards.
Do most of the reward cards have a yearly fee?

mom60,

no, most credit cards do not charge a fee now a days.some that does, will give you extraordinary rewards, like a free flight. You should check out and shop around so that you are up to date.
