<p>If you have already enrolled in another school and plan to go there, decline your spot on the waitlist.</p>
<p>If you would still prefer to go to UChicago, or aren’t sure, accept the waitlist spot and wait to see what happens. Go ahead and enroll in another school and prepare to go there because it’s rare to be taken off a waitlist.</p>
<p>BUT if you should get lucky enough to get selected off the waitlist and the financial aid suits you then you accept admission, and tell the school where you originally enrolled that you won’t be attending. You will lose your deposit there, however.</p>
