<p>I did housing assignments one summer when I worked for Reslife! </p>
<p>Roommate pairings are done based on the questionnaire, which isn’t long and sticks to the you and what you can tolerate on basic criteria: typical bedtime, studying with noise, smoking. Reslife will assign as many people as they can to the specialty housing they request, but the actual room assignments within each building is essentially random. </p>
<p>Though, I suppose I could have created a floor of people who’s names start with the letter M if I had wanted to. Ah, but how common is it to not see the opportunities before you until they’ve already passed you by?</p>
