How early should you apply for admissions into LSU Petroleum Engineering?

<p>Yes you can definitely apply. Their diversity scholarships are for either people who are URM’s and/or people who qualify for grant aid. Selection among those groups is based on merit.</p>

<p>I’m not too sure about people who are neither of those. The PetE dept. has about 40 scholarships (from 1-3k/yr), too.</p>

Petroleum Engineering Alumni Scholarships are also available to you as an incoming freshman. We invite students with an ACT score of 25 or a SAT score of 1140 to apply for petroleum engineering alumni scholarships. Students with an ACT score of 28 or an SAT score of 1240 automatically qualify for a $1000.00 scholarship for the fall semester provided they follow a prescribed program of study. These scholarships are renewable each semester provided the student maintains a 3.0 grade point average. To apply for a department scholarship, contact Fred Thurber.
