Haha, okay okay. It’s just a forum with a bunch of nerdy teenagers. No one on here can accurately judge you because none of us know you. Besides, we’re all here for fun. :)

Don’t we all have Gov to study for, anyway?

I sure as h*ll do…that’s probably my cue…

And I believe, at least a little bit, that as your elder (I’m being pretentious, shush) I have the responsibility to inculcate you guys with the proper etiquette you’ll need to succeed in life. :D

Well, some of surely do need that. :P

What kind of classes will you be TAing?

Not sure yet, but if/when I do, they’ll either be poli sci classes or Japanese classes.

I’m hoping they’re poli sci classes, since that’s what my deeper interest lies in.

Oh, maybe you’ll be my TA in some of my poli sci classes. I hope you’re not a tough grader. >.<

Back on the subject of rentals in the UCSD area -

The ‘UTC’ (University Town Center) area is a mile or two from campus and has many many very nice apartments and condos for rent. It’s an upscale area. The area has a free for students UCSD shuttle service it about every 8-10 minutes so a car isn’t required if you don’t want one. You can walk to a very nice beach from UCSD or take the city bus (free to students) to La Jolla (very nice beaches, upscale restaurants, etc.). You can walk or take a bus to a regional mall (UTC mall). This UTC area is filled with UCSD students so you should feel at home there.

I agree with UCLAri that you should focus on rents and not utilities because utilities vary a lot depending on individual needs (internet access cost, cable TV, electric, gas, phone, etc.) and very few of the places include utilities in the rental price. They also will vary (reduce) a lot as you add people to the apartment.

A 2 br/2 bath nice apartment with pool, workout room, etc. in that area goes for around 1600-2000 per month. Many students are 4ppl/2br which would make the rent about 400-500 per month. This is for a very nice place - not a college dive. Some large complexes to check include Costa Verde, La Regencia, Archstone, and there are many more.

“Just cross your 't’s and dot your 'i’s…”

i don’t dot my i’s. does that mean you will fail me on any written assignments? lol.

im glad that ucsducladad brought us back on topic. thanx dad.
